How to order a custom portrait of your pet
Each pet portrait by Terry Albert is carefully painted in watercolor and colored pencil or pastel from snapshots you provide. I work from your photos and instructions to create an original image that when finished is matted and ready to frame.
I offer two sizes:
An 11" x 15" matted up to a standard 16 x 20 size so you can buy a ready-made frame. Price: $300, includes shipping and insurance.
I also offer a smaller, 8" x 10" head study (with no background) for $100, matted to 11 x 14. Shipping is additional.
Larger sizes are available. Contact me for a price quote.
There is a small additional charge for more than one animal in the painting. Your snapshots will be returned with the finished portrait. I can also work from emailed photos. I will contact you before I start, to discuss what you would like. I prefer to get several photos, even if they aren't very good. I can pick a good pose and fill in some missing details from the other photos.

I can work from photos or descriptions of the type of background you would like. Some ideas: flowers, a garden, in a favorite bed with a toy, in a hunting scene with birds flying in the background, or looking out your window. Look through the galleries on my site to get some ideas. See some samples of photos and the finished art Close-up photos of your pet work much better! Get down to eye level with your dog, cat or bird and try to photograph him straight-on, instead of looking down at him (or her). For multiple pets in a portrait, or a larger size, please contact me for a price quote. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not happy, I will either fix it or take it back and refund your money.
